The Ministry of Residence Affairs (MHA) introduced on Tuesday that the ban on the pro-Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun’s organisation, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has been prolonged for an additional 5 years. The MHA prolonged the ban on the terrorist group for 5 years from July 10, information company ANI reported on Tuesday.
The ban was initially imposed in 2019. In response to a notification launched by the Union Residence Ministry, SFJ has been discovered to interact in actions deemed “prejudicial to the inner safety of India and public order.”

The ministry mentioned the pro-Khalistani outfit is selling and facilitating actions aimed toward separating a portion of Indian land from the Union of India. This consists of offering help to separatist teams inside India and in different areas who’re striving for a similar aim.
The Centre mentioned that if the “illegal actions of SFJ” aren’t managed instantly, the pro-Khalistani outfit will escalate its “subversive actions together with makes an attempt to carve out Khalistan Nation out of the territory of Union of India by destabilising the Authorities established by legislation”.
